Shocking News

The University of Yonsei is one of the biggest and unique education centers in Seoul.

Young adults and scholars aspire to gain admission to study there but only twenty are accepted every year.

Describing the university is like writing a full novel consisting of seventy thousand words.

The school is as large as the Royal Palace of Indonesia. It consists of different buildings for different purposes, the parking lot is made using marble and is very large.

Expensive cars not less than $10 million are parked neatly as young males and females hop down from one transportation means or the other.

The campus is full of chatter as Eun-Kyung and Chung Jin her friend walk into the hallway discussing softly.

The scene pauses as Eun-Kyung faces the camera for a proper introduction.

"I'm Eun-Kyung the first child of my lovely parents. My dad is a politician while my mum is a lawyer, even if their income is not enough to fend for the family, we as a family are contented. Yonsei University is one of the best in Seoul and fortunately, I got admission at first seating. The school fees cost my parents a lot but since I'm their priority, it is essential thus it was paid a week after my registration. Chung Jin, during our Year one was the best in my department but in Year two, we became competitors and I am now the best thus I immediately made her my best friend. Our academic progress did not hinder our relationship as even outside of campus we still love and care for each other".

She pauses.

"I'm sharp-mouthed, right? Hehe, don't be surprised I'm just 18 years old."

The scene starts rolling bringing her back to reality.

"It's our first class for this semester, are you ready?" Chung Jin asks her friend enthusiastically.

"I'm more than ready" Eun-Kyung teases.

The two ladies walk briskly heading toward the lecture hall.

"Welcome back Miss Eun!" Her coursemates chant immediately as she walks into the lecture hall.

"It seems they miss you." Chung Jin bends over to Eun-Kyung's ear and whispers.

"No, they miss "us"." She replies with a wink.

Eun-Kyung course mates walk toward them in groups embracing and having a little chat with each other.

After some minutes of discussing and getting back on track, the female lecturer walks into the Hall and everyone falls silent.

"Good morning students." The aged lady greets.

"Good morning ma!" They respond in unison.

"I'm Mrs. Chuyun and will be taking you on MED 202 titled Theories of Medical Sciences."

Mrs. Chuyun introduces herself to the students and begins teaching, the class is lively as Eun-Kyung and Chung Jin answer the questions thrown to the class smartly and courageously.

"I'm impressed Miss Eun and Miss Jin," Mrs. Chuyun said in appraisal.

The students take down notes and assignments, and in two hours, the class is over and the next lecturer walks in.

The public speaker announces softly:

"All students should head to the cafeteria, it's lunchtime. Good health, active brain."

All pens down as student leaves the class in troop heading to the cafeteria.

"Jin, please order my favorite. I'll meet you there in a second." Eun-Kyung said to Chung Jin, who nods and leaves the lecture hall.

"Eun?" A young male student calls out, she drops her pen and turns towards his direction.

"Sung!" She exclaims in astonishment.

"When did you return?" She asks anxiously.

"Last week but I was preparing for classes so I didn't have the time to call you out," Sung said softly.

Sung Woo is the son of the university registrar, very handsome and kind.

He dotes on Eun-Kyung but she is not ready for a relationship so she chooses to be a good friend to him.

She quickly arranges her books in her bag and shortly they walk together to the cafeteria.

"Sung...."

"Can you sit with us?"

"I'll treat you on your today's lunch."

Ladies continue speaking as they follow Sung and Eun from behind; he is popular because of his looks and status.

"Sis! I'm here." Jin calls out to Eun as she walks up to the reserved table with Sung.

"What did you order?" Eun said while taking her seat.

"Your favorite of course..." Jin pauses.

"I didn't know we would have company" Jin adds slyly.

"Oh don't worry, I'll quickly place my order," Sung said as he stands and head to the cafeteria counter.

"Why is he here?" Jin asks in a whispering tone.

"He is my friend so I decided he tag along," Eun replies with a wink.

"Is he okay staying in your "friends' zone"?" Jin asks in an air quote manner.

"I don't care, are you ready for the next class?"

They continue discussing softly while taking their meal shortly after Sung returns with his order and joins them.

"Spell me that, I'm not in for any school quiz," Jin snorts sharply.

"You can't run away from it Miss Jin," Eun responds teasingly.

The whole time, their discussion was either about incoming school competition, academics, or about their future.

Eun-Kyung dream has always been to work in a hospital and treat patients while Chung Jin wants to be a boss who is opening a hospital, maybe Eun will work for her.

The television is tuned on showcasing the morning news as Mr. Kyung sits comfortably on the sofa watching the news, Mrs. Kyung washes the dishes with the help of her younger children Jim and Chu while Eun tucks clothes into the washing machine as it washes the laundry softly, it is weekend and everyone is busy.

"Sister, will you go to the Cinema with me?" Chu asks anxiously.

Eun quietly hums as she spreads the clothes on the rope and turns to her sister saying with a smile.

"Little Chu, your exam is coming soon I advise you to stay home and read your book."

Chu stamps her feet angrily on the ground in disagreement as she mutters some words.

"Senior Eun, Please take us with you ... Pretty please."

Her kid brother "Jim" says as she walks up to them sadly.

"Oh, my goodness. It's not a normal "movie"; I'm going to watch a medical video." Eun tries to explain to them and at the same time discourages them.

Medical video? In a cinema? Eun needs to go for liar training.

After the morning chores and other activities, it is evening Eun dresses into a beautiful blue bum shot and a purple crop top with amazing makeup and a pony hairstyle; she carries her purple small purse and heads to her siblings' room.

Jim and Chu are reading their books seriously but when they notice the presence of their sister, they immediately head into the bathroom to prepare and join her wherever she goes.

Eun takes her siblings to a nearby shop to get them chocolates with the hopes of bribing them to stay at home but they stand on the ground of going to the Cinema with her.

The Cinema is located inside Jung's Eatery; it's a very big and popular eatery in the city.

Other families, younger males and females enter the eatery while some come out but the majority of those entering were much.

"They are here to see the movie," Eun thought.

Eun holds her siblings strongly in their hands as she joins the crowd to enter the Cinema ticket unit.

"How many tickets do you want?" The counter lady asks with a soft smile.

"3" Eun responds politely.

"Which movie do you want to see?" The lady asks again still keeping her facial expression.

Eun whispers to the lady softly as the lady nods and ushers them into the hall.

"Sis, you didn't get us any popcorn?" Chu asks sadly while they are walking to their seat.

Eun searches for their seat number for some minutes and soon she sees the seat and they immediately settle on the chair.

"Popcorn..." Jim reminds her again.

"Fine!" Eun says looking as if annoyed as she goes out of the hall.

The movie starts peacefully as everyone in the hall remains quiet and anxious to see what happens next, Chu dips her hand into the popcorn collects a handful, and eats hurriedly, Jim joins.

"Everyone is watching the both of you. Eat with manners" Eun whispers to them softly as she feels embarrassed.

Disadvantages of taking your siblings to a Cinema, Jim and Chu don't stop eating disorderly as the popcorn particles hang around their faces.

"Sis, is this the medical video?" Chu asks anxiously spitting popcorn particles to Eun's face.

Eun loves her siblings as much as they embarrass her, she just can't ignore them.

She laughs softly at the question of her sister and replies with a smile.

"Of course it is." She lies jokingly.

Her siblings made it worse by bursting into heavy laughter thereby drawing attention to them; Eun couldn't contend the shame.

As soon as the movie elapses, she hurriedly leaves the hall dragging her siblings alongside.

Since the movie has ended, the outside is crowded thus making people bump into each other causing catastrophe.

"Sorry!"

Eun and her siblings apologize to people they bump into unintentionally as they walk hastily not waiting for a reply.

"Sis, my leg is becoming weak. Can we walk slowly?"

Jim and Chu complain in unison making Eun lose attention and didn't notice the person in front of them.

"Ouch!" Eun screams in pain.

"Are you okay?" The young man in front of her asks with concern.

"Yes ... I'm so sorry," Eun responds quickly without taking a glance at the young man, she leaves the eatery with her siblings immediately.

"So handsome!" Chu whispers to Jim while walking away.

"Sis did not bother checking him out," Jim said softly still turning backward.

"What a bad luck." They said sadly in unison.

Eun-Kyung was so angry with her siblings which made her reduce their meal size.

"Mum, I don't want to miss my 10:00 AM class," Eun said to her mum while making breakfast.

"Sorry sweetheart, kindly bring them to school after breakfast and clean up the house," Mrs. Kyung said in a pleading tone.

"I'll make it up to you," Mrs. Kyung adds with a mischievous smile.

"Mum! Please don't do this to me." Eun responds sadly trying to beg her way out.

"See you when I'm back. Dad is driving I better hurry." Mrs. Kyung makes her final speech hurriedly and exits from the entrance door, Eun sighs sadly.

"Noodles!" Jim and Chu chant as Eun places their breakfast on the dining table.

They are already dressed in their school uniform; Eun hands them their napkin to put on before eating so as not to stain their uniform.

"Sis, did you see that handsome uncle yesterday?" Chu asks as she takes her chopstick.

"Which uncle?" Eun responds with a questionable expression.

"The handsome uncle you bump into. He looks so cute and great just like Lee Min Ho" Jim exaggerates trying to make his sister figure the person out.

"I didn't see any uncle" Eun shakes her head as she replies still thinking.

Jim and Chu let out a sigh of disappointment as they said in unison:

"We just lost another in-law".

"Eat gently while I freshen up," Eun says politely and leaves to her room still thinking about the "uncle" her siblings meant.

The ride to Jim and Chu's school is quiet as the children are focused on studying the next topic, Eun drives nodding her ahead happily but within her, she feels dead as she is almost late for her lecture.

"Young lads, we are here." She havens a sigh of relief.

Jim and Chu pack their books and alight from the car.

"Thanks, sis, and goodbye!" They said in unison while walking into the school gate.

"Finally they are gone," Eun says with a smirk as she starts the engine.

9:35 AM

"Someone has finally become a splinter cell." Chung Jin teases while walking toward Eun who is stepping down from her car.

Eun quickly rushes to Jin and checks her phone.

"I made it! It's 9:35!" Eun chants.

"We better hurry. What happened?"

Chung Jin asks as they start walking into the school hallway.

"I took Tom and Jerry to school today," Eun says as if sad and Jin laughs happily while saying;

"The names really suit them. They are your little devil."

"Why didn't you come home this weekend you jerk!?" Eun asks with a weird expression.

"I was avoiding those devils of yours." Jin teases with a smile.

"You owe me 20RMS now," Eun said happily.

"You owed me 20RMS, we are even now."

They laugh at their childish behavior as they walk into the lecture hall smiling and discussing softly.

"Ms. Eun." A coursemate calls her as soon as she steps into the hall.

"Yes?" She raises her eyebrow in response.

"Mr. Guk shifted his class to Friday because of some personal issue." The coursemate informs Eun politely.

"Then, we need to call Mrs. Gin in," Eun said with confidence.

"Sure!"

The coursemate leaves the hall while Jin and Eun walk together to their desk quietly.

Mrs. Gin lectures the students on the "names of medicine and problems doctors face" for a couple of hours, she asks questions and the two bright students including a few minors answer correctly.

Students swap notes to cross-check and correct wrongly spelled words.

The speaker fixed on the wall of the lecture hall makes a thud sound thus students' attention is drawn as they start packing up their books for lunch.

"Settle down, it's not time for lunch. It's announcement time." The female speaker notifies them as the student shamefully sits back to listen to the announcement with keen attention.

"Mr. Guk Won has been fired from the University because of his unacceptable behavior. There will be a new male lecturer from next week and we advise you to wait for his arrival as he was one of the best students at Korean University last two years ago. Have a nice day." The lady calmly relays her speech to the student and one can tell from her voice that she is friendly.

The speaker makes another thud and goes off thus the lecture hall turns unbearably noisy.

"New lecturer?"

"Male!"

"Two years ago, that means he is young and maybe handsome!"

"Our medical lecturer?"

"I can't wait already."

For the remaining days, the school and its body became noisy, empty, and impatient as some students went shopping for new clothes and hairstyles while female lecturers were impatient.

"Why are we not anxious?"

Another weekend is here and Chung Jin visits Eun.

Eun promises to bake a cake and sweet biscuits for her siblings, fortunately, Jin is present making the workload go gently on Eun.

Jin asks Eun a question as she stirs the egg with the egg-stir equipment while Eun stirs the dough preparing for baking.

"Anxious over what?" Eun asks out of curiosity.

"To see the new "male lecturer"..." Jin asks as she smirks softly.

"Is he the only young male lecturer in our school?" Eun asks as she stands up to turn on the oven.

"Don't ask me that but then he is the only best student A.K.A now lecturer that we have ever gotten" Jin says with pride.

"And even from Korean University!" Jin adds as she exclaims.

"You are not different from the little devils" Eun teases.

"Don't you ever compare me to them!" Jin snorts as if angry.

"Ha ha ha" Eun laughs hardly.

"Suit you!" Eun adds shouting happily as she runs out of the kitchen.

"Eun! Keep running and never let me catch y --" Jin says before she can continue speaking, she trips off and falls to the ground.

"Ha ha ha, Aunty Jin!" Jim and Chu shouts as they join Eun to laugh hard.

"Little devils!!!!" Jin screams in anger, still lying on the floor.
