Chapter 10: Affection Beyond Word

"I want you to be a simple man."

"I want you to love me forever, only me." Churong said impulsively angry and he smile.

"Okay." Emperor Jin said slyly.

"I don't take okay for an answer." Churong informs vividly.

"I want you to make the last promise you have to keep" Churong added nervously.

Emperor Jin pulls her closer as the gap between them closes, he kisses her deeply and passionately.

Meanwhile prince Xie has been watching the scene in anger.

"I thought after all these months together she would love me" prince Xie mutters sadly to himself in a low tone.

"Xie'r, Xie'r, it's just your thought" prince Xie leaves the hallway angrily as a maid runs into the hallway in tense shouting helplessly.

"Bad news!"

"Bad news!"

Empress Dowager of Tang Kingdom kicks the bucket and it sends painful shivers down the spine of her loved ones.

Emperor Jin buried her closer to her late husband's grave in a secluded area and commanded the royal members to mourn her for one year.

Master Yue during the mourning period gave out grain to relief the poor on the streets, even Queen Fei scolds him but he insist as Emperor Jin's rule is a good one and need not to be coveted.

Two years later, Queen Shi was conferred with the title of Empress Dowager by Emperor Jin. Queen Fei on seeing the new transformation decided to turn over as good leaf and became friend with Empress Dowager Shi.

Emperor Jin stabilizes the kingdom and commanded the eunuch to send Lady Lou back to the southern region, her hometown precisely.

The court panic for the Emperor can't stay unmarried thus he announces his marriage between Lady Churong officially and visited the Xie mansion.

Prince Xie and Emperor Jin quietly walk in the little garden as prince Xie clears his throat awkwardly.

"Xie'r"

"In as much as your mother was rebellious"

"You were never part of her plan"

"You courageously choose the righteous path"

Emperor Jin appraises and pauses while prince Xie smirks.

"You know I am never interested in prestige"

"I was only preparing the way for you"

"Right now, all I want is to love Churong and stay isolated from the palace with her"

They stand at a spot facing each other awkwardly.

"What do you want?"

"Brother Jin" prince Xie asks politely.

"I want you to ascend the throne as the new emperor" Emperor Jin informs vividly and prince Xie staggers in astonishment.

"Brother"

"It's impossible"

"You have to die before you abdicate th---"prince Xie stutters sadly and Emperor Jin nods his head with a small mischievous smile.

Three years later, prince Xie in collusion with Empress Dowager Shi announce the death of Emperor Jin caused by food poison and Lady Churong choose to isolate herself. Prince Xie became the new Emperor of Tang kingdom and he ruled wisely, generously and mercifully.

Emperor Xie visits his insane mother once in a month and often sends physicians to check on her health. Queen Fei poison the meal of Empress Dowager Shi unknown to her the maid has already switch their meals thus Queen Fei died of a rare eastern poison and due to her mischievous actions, she was buried far away from the palace and Master Yue secretly mourn her in pain and shame.

Simple life she says;

Churong and Jin live in the northern region of Tang where they got married officially, he also guard the borders from invaders and rebellious army.

Jin love for Churong grows day by day as everyday was a fresh feeling for him.

Beyond, words can't predict even promises can't keep record, he love Churong beyond letters, words and made her feel special.

Yan keeps proposing to Lin over the years and during the mid-autumn festival, she eventually accepted his proposal.

Emperor Xie later married Lady Quinlong for love as no one pressured him into marriage, the cold and dangerous palace became pleasant and welcoming.

"Mummy"

"Daddy"

The two children both females of Jin and Churong run to them happily while Yan and Lin follows from behind.

"I am pregnant" Churong announces happily in a nervous tone to everyone as Jin faces her in surprise.

"Pregnant again?" Jin asks sarcastically.

"I want a baby brother" the children chant anxiously and they laugh happily.

Fortunately, the imperial physician was able to cure Queen Hua from her insanity, upon her recovery she embraces her son passionately and promise to follow the right path.

Queen Hua accepted her fate and became a friend to Empress Dowager Shi, her feelings towards Empress Shi was proven genuine.

Emperor Xie conferred Queen Hua with the title of Queen Mother Hua which she accepted, till date Jin loves Churong and his children beyond words. Queen Quinlong gave birth to a little handsome prince and Lin became pregnant for Yan.
