Chapter Thirty-Nine: Love So Beautiful

Romans' POV

I adjusted my tie and proceeded into the living room, Jane was still sitting on the armchair watching the drama with full interest.

I shook my head in disbelieve, I couldn't believe one could be so engrossed to a movie since last night till dawn without blinking an eye.

"Jane. Don't you have classes today?" I asked putting on my wrist watch. It was the latest edition golden Rollex wrist watch.

"Not today" Jane said in a somnolent tone.

"You're not sleepy yet?" I mocked.

"Not yet" Jane shook her head.

"What movie are you watching?" I asked walking closer to the armchair.

"You interested?" Jane paused the movie and turned to me, I leaned on the armchair.

"Calm down miss narrator. I need just the title" I said specifically and Jane frowned.

The last time I asked Jane the name of drama she was watching, Jane started telling me about the drama, the scenes, magical and emotional moments, I didn't know when I slept off on the arm chair.

I'm not trying that mistake again, not today and not this morning.

"It's Are You Human Too, a Korean drama" Jane said sadly.

"Sorry to cut you short missy but you need to paste, eat and grab a nap" I said leaving to the passage.

"Not now bro" Jane frowned with her eyes on the television screen.

I didn't hesitate to turn off the subscription cable using my phone.

"Brother Romans!!!!!" I heard a loud scream coming from inside the house and I smirked, luckily I was already in the garage thus I hurried into the car and immediately the driver starts the engine.

He rod into the street.

It was weekend and to say, Friday.

Jennifer was sitting with me in the passage but we were doing different things.

I found myself engrossed in the hard copy of a novel titled Drive by Tamara Lush while Jennifer steal glances with Desmond but pretends to be filing her nails, I'd smirk anytime I catch them.

The book got my utmost attention that I left earth and resided in fantasy for the couple of two hours and some minutes.

I wished to finish the book in one sitting but I couldn't, because I haven't stopped minding my business.

I derived interest in the childish love play of this lovers in front of me, I didn't know when Jennifer had left her seat and went to Desmond's passage.

"This is getting interesting" I smiled and pull the book higher covering my face.

I was so happy to witness what wasn't my business, reality sometimes is better than fiction.

"Have you told your parents about us?" Desmond asked.

"Hold on babe, I'm really trying" Jennifer's frowned but it didn't last after getting some touched from Desmond.

"Stop" Jennifer playfully slaps Desmond's hand and shoot a dekko at me but I stylishly behave as if I was reading the book and... minding my business.

"I miss you these few days though" Desmond said.

"Me too" Jennifer chirped.

No one would believe Jennifer could behave like a nursery pupil, I mean twirling her leg on the ground, smiling like a clone, can love make someone this insane?

"I have something for you" Desmond said.

I shook them a dekko but I didn't see any present in Desmond's hold thus I focus my eyes back on the book.

"What?" Jennifer asked anxiously.

"Close your eyes" Desmond suggested lovingly.

"Okay" Jennifer closed her eyes smiling happily.

She obeyed like a fool!

This is driving me crazy, Jennifer is never this foolish and obedient.

I lift my eyes to watch them when I saw Desmond claiming Jennifer's lips, I remained stunned and silent.

They kissed deeply and passionately for some minutes.

I stared at them without blinking like an idiot that I'm.

There emotional moment was cut off by the loud ringing of my phone, I react startled as I reached for my phone while Jennifer jumped away from him arranging her properly gathered hair, I smirked.

It was Rebecca who's calling.

"Hello?" I said.

"Hey Eliora" Rebecca calls softly.

"Sister Becca. How are you doing in Canada?" I asked lovingly.

"I'm in the U. S right now" Rebecca said.

"U. S? Doing what?" I ask, astonished.

"Didn't you hear?" Rebecca asked.

"Hear what?" I asked anxiously.

"Oh.. even when you're closer to them, you got the news late" Rebecca bluffed and I laughed slightly.

"Will you tell me or yes?" I asked jokingly.

"Romans got a new house for our parents.." Rebecca begins.

"I know" I hovered over with a quick nod.

"And our parents are hosting a housewarming inviting Romans parents over" Rebecca added confidently.

"You must be kidding me!" I squealed in astonishment.

"I'm not. It's tomorrow" Rebecca said.

"Goodness. Am I invited? I mean, I didn't get any memo" I frowned slightly.

"It's okay party girl. Mum asked me to call you, it's seems she's so busy in order to impress your hubby's family" Rebecca teased lovingly and I laughed with my flushed face.

My hubby... It sounded nice to my hearing.

"Thanks so much Becca. I wouldn't have known if not for you" I said happily.

"Don't say that. Now make sure you look dashingly beautiful tomorrow else I'll divorce you" Rebecca said lovingly and I smiled.

"Yes darling" I smiled brightly.

"Take care and see you" the call ended.

I continued smiling helplessly.

Meeting his parents again, an amazing family housewarming, being with him again.

I was so happy but what should I wear?

My gaze immediately dropped at Jennifer and I exhaled in relief.

I wished I could see, hear and witness more of Jennifer's relationship without their notice, it was funny, full of shyness, timidity but sweet and romantic. I would really love to ride into the journey with her to hear more of what I've missed but I can't be in two places at a time right?

I wish my best friend all the best in love, it won't fail us the second time.

I took the novel from my lap and begin flipping pages again in search of where I had stopped.

The mansion I had visited last time and had sex in was looking glamorous and beautifully decorated.

I was dressed in a deep blue sexy long diner gown, standard heels, shinning purse, perfectly gathered sideway plaited bun, warmed applied make up, beautiful combed hair. I was looking dashingly hot as Rebecca had recommended, all thanks goes to Jennifer.

I walked into the house and it was marvelous, a beautiful energetic music "Freaky Friday by Lil Dicky ft. Chris Brown" was playing on the background and the passage walls had admirable designed wall plaques and stickers, I proceed into the living room.

Mum was arranging the diner with full attention and hygiene, dad was checking out the house to see that everything were in other, Aiden was designing something with the glitter glue pen in a card.

The house was shining green and orange, it was a bit dim bit cool. I love the setting and it really suit for a perfectly housewarming.

"You're here" Rebecca's voice called me out.

"This is beautiful" we exchanged warm embraces.

"It's mum's handwork" Rebecca figured.

"Are they here yet?" I asked anxiously.

"Not yet" Rebecca paused.

"Now, spin for me baby" Rebecca added lovingly and I flushed in embarrassment.

But I spined.

"You're so crazily hot sister" Rebecca smiled happily.

"And you ain't looking bad for a pregnant woman" I teased lovingly.

The soft short chirping sound comes from the door.

"They're here!" Aiden who has been so focused on his designing shouted happily.

"They're here" Mum and Dad begins to hurry.

I checked myself again.

"You're gorgeous" Aiden whispered with a cute smile on his face.

"Thanks small man" I teased and he laughed.

Dad opened the door and ushered in the Robins family, after exchanging warm pleasantries and short conversation we made way to the dining table.

"I've married my wife for thirty years now" Mr. Robins boasted.

"But you divorced after your one year anniversary" Dad said jokingly and we burst into laughter.

"I'm not Henry Claude De Saint Simon" Mr. Robins snorted fringing annoyance and we laughed.

The diner was going smoothly as I had wished, I and Romans continue stealing romantic stares when my phone vibrates.

"You look charming, sweet heart".

It was a message from Romans.

I smiled brightly with my flushed face.

"I remember when I first carried Romans.." Mrs. Rachael begins.

I stylishly tried to reply his message.

"You're super hot, daddy".

I quickly sent him a reply.

"What are these two lovers doing behind our back" Rebecca said mockingly and everyone's attention focused on us.

I was smiling like a kindergarten clone while Romans was smiling at his phone while a loosed chicken.

We looked stupid.

"Romans...?" Mrs. Rachael muttered softly.

"It's nothing" I stammered taking hold of the fork.

"Let's... eat?" Mum said cryptically.

"Sure" the two Dad's nod their head.

"I have something to say" Romans cleared his throat standing from the seat, all eyes focused on him.

Including mine.

"What's it?" that was everyone's facial expression.

"There's something I want to say" as Romans speak, he walks closer to me and I turned to him, anxious.

"Earl. I'm not perfect and I'm not optimistic in giving you your dream proposal scene but one thing I'm sure is that... I love you with all my heart. I yearn for you each seconds, I crave for your touch every moment without you, I want to have you forever" Romans begins lovingly in full emotion with a soft alluring voice that kept me speechless but stunned.

Everywhere remained silent.

"I need you. I want you to be mine forever. Marry me, Earl" Romans said surfacing a sparkling silver ring with touches of small diamond around it, I stare at him and the ring in shock.

"Woa" everyone in the room mumbles in astonishment and anxiety, Aiden runs out of the dining.

"I love you so much babe. I love you even without a ring" I said happily with my hands covering my mouth.

I still couldn't believe this was happening to me, wedding! I'm finally going to get married!

"Is that a yes?" Romans asked anxiously.

"It's a yes baby" I said swing my hands across his neck, I embraced him tightly.

"I will always love you baby" Romans whispered softly and I nodded happily.

"This is beautiful" Mrs. Rachael said.

"Congratulations Sis" Rebecca squealed happily.

"This is great. I'm happy for you both" Dad said.

"Congratulations darling. Your wishes are gradually coming true" Mum smiled happily.

"I'm proud of you son. Congratulations" Mr. Robins said.

"I love you so much, everyone" I smiled brightly.

Romans slowly put the ring on my engagement finger while I stare at it in amazement.

"My sweetheart" Romans called softly.

"Babe" I smiled nervously.

Romans claimed my lips, he kissed me deeply and passionately.

"How can I ever miss this moment for the world!!"

The scream of Jennifer comes in with the sharp sound of a popping champagne, I laughed happily.

"Jenny" I called out.

"Bitch!" We embraced tightly.

"I'm so happy for you" Jennifer said lovingly.

"Thanks babe. I'm just so lucky to have good people around me" I said enthusiastically.

"Sister, what do you think of this jam?" Aiden asked keeping a funny facial expression and soon the music comes to live.

It was "One Look by Spencer Sutherland", everyone started chanting in happiness and dancing in joy, the house becomes lively with the cool music and wonderful atmosphere.

Romans hands wrapped my thin waist and pulled me closer to his chest, I smiled happily.

"You're forever mine now, Earl. I don't want to loose you again" Romans said softly with his gorgeous eyes piercing straight into mine.

"I'm going no where, hubby" I said lovingly.

I and Romans kissed with our eyes closed.

"Stop the romance and dance" Jane and Jennifer pulled me away from Romans, I fringed sadness but Romans laughed.

At first I started on the wrong path, believing in nothing, trusting no one, befriending no one and doing my own thing but life proved me wrong. I couldn't survive without a push from my circles. My family, my friends and love. At first I didn't accept any of it but it shook me like a big ocean wave.

I believe and I found love!

Love at second sight.

Love at second encounter.

It doesn't need to start at first sight.
