Chapter 14
The huge G group company, Damien sits comfortably on the expensive office chair rolling back and forth gradually while reading a document.
The door to his office automatically slides open thus he faces the entrance anxiously.
"Diana!" Damien calls politely with an astonish stare, he stands up immediately.
"Surprise to see me...?" Diana asks flirtatiously as she approaches his long table.
"So surprise" Damien said vibrantly and Diana laughs softly as she takes her seat smoothly across him, he joins slowly with a bright smile.
Diana Martins, a young beautiful graduate of about twenty three years, head over hills for Damien since childhood, the only daughter of the richest investor in G group.
"When did you arrive?" Damien asks anxiously.
"Last night" Diana replies impatiently.
"I miss you so much Damien" she added lovingly and Damien clears his throat nervously.
"It's a good thing you are back" Damien said awkwardly trying to change the conversation.
"I'm here for you Dam" Diana said sarcastically and pauses.
"Hope you know our parents plans for us?" Diana asks courageously as he stares at her awkwardly.
The classic restaurant glittering to flashes of the beautiful dim lights. The old country side Italian music plays softly on the background as July walks into the restaurant with a flower in her hand, she smiles on seeing her date and approaches their table confidently.
"You are here" Michael said politely with a bright smile while standing up.
"Yeas" July chuckles softly, Michael pulls out an empty seat thus she sits on the chair gradually.
"Am I late?" July asks nervously.
"You came at the right time" Michael replies with a toothy smile making her to laugh softly, the bartender approaches them.
"Welcome"
"What can I serve you both tonight?" the bartender asks politely with a courteous smile, Michael and July takes the menu list on the table.
"Are all these meals available?" July asks sarcastically, Michael smirks mockingly.
"Yes ma" the bartender said courteously.
"Give me item six and seven" Michael said courageously as he drops the menu back on the table.
"Rice with egg sauce and creamy desert precisely sir?" the bartender asks politely and Michael nods his head affirmatively.
"Give me same" July said anonymously hitting the menu strongly on the table.
"No" Michael shuns and stops the bartender, she pauses facing them anxiously.
"You are a female, addition of fat isn't healthy for you" Michael said impulsively holding her hand on the table.
"Who cares?" July snorts vividly, she mischievously pulls her hand off on the table and Michael smirks sadly facing the bartender.
"Go then" Michael commands politely, the bartender nods her head slowly in response and leave to get their orders.
"So Michael, what's so important that you invited me here?" July asks bluntly making Michael to awkwardly face another direction, she smirks mockingly.
Michael faces July after some minutes, she blink her eyes sheepishly yearning for his reply.
"July the reason I want you here is because ..." Michael continues speaking while July's eyes fall down to her blank phone on the table, she frowns.
"Will he ever call me?"
"I miss him so much" July mutters impulsively to herself in a sad low tone.
"July, Julie" Michael hits the table softly calling her to the present, she fret a little and let out a mischievous smile.
"Did you hear all what I said?" Michael asks anxiously.
The bartender walks to their table rolling a tray cart containing their meals.
"Please forgive us for the delay" the bartender apologizes courteously while placing their meals neatly on the table.
"What were you saying?" July asks Michael slyly taking the glass of wine from the table.
"I love you and I want us to date" Michael said courageously with a nervous stare and immediately July sprout out awkwardly.
"I'm sorry" she apologizes apathetically while cleaning her mouth cautiously with the table napkin.
"What do you think?" Michael made a nervous comeback sadly.
"Michael, the meals are getting cold" July said sassily as she takes the cutleries from the table to start eating, Michael shakes his head in disbelief.
"July, I need a sincere and honest answer from you" Michael said annoyingly, he pauses.
"Do you love me?" Michael asks anxiously, July drops the cutleries smoothly on edges of the flat plate.
"Can you give me more days to think about it?"
"I can't give you an instant answer ... you know" July snorts sarcastically making Michael to smile brightly.
"Sure, sure" Michael nods his head happily.
"Some days then" he added sarcastically.
"Let's eat" July said with a mischievous smile thus they start eating.
The pet clinic owned by July is actively open but as usual no customer. Rachael arranges the record book and strings properly in the lower counter as the entrance door makes a sound.
"Welcome to ..." Rachael pauses with an astonish stare while Tony approaches the counter sadly.
"What are you doing here?" Rachael asks angrily facing another direction.
"Rachael, can we talk?" Tony asks politely and anxiously.
"Talk about what?" Rachael asks annoyingly.
"The last time I checked, I'm no longer your staff" Rachael snorts apathetically.
"I'm not here to call you back to work" Tony said politely.
"Then why are you here?" Rachael rolls her eyes annoyingly with a curious stare.
"I want us to talk... like an adult" Tony pauses.
"Everyone around us knows about my feelings for you"
"I love you Rachael" Tony said lovingly.
"What?" Rachael laughs nervously in disbelief.
"You are joking right?" Rachael asks sarcastically.
"My feelings for you are sincere, believe me" Tony said vividly with an impulsive stare.
"I'm sorry Mr. Tony"
"I, Rachael Dylan is not interested in you" Rachael informs vividly with an unpleasant smirk.
"Rachael... I don't want to rush you into this" Tony said politely in a flirtatious tone.
"Take your time and think about it" Tony added sadly and turns to leave.
"I won't waste my time on thinking about you" Rachael snorts mockingly, Tony faces backward.
"Go run your business and forget about me... the minor cashier" Rachael said vividly and sits roughly on the low portal chair behind the counter.
"Rachael"
"Rachael... answer me" Tony calls anxiously but she ignore him thus he leaves the clinic sadly.
"Love me...?"
"Love my foot... dating him will be the worst mistake of my life" Rachael sighs annoyingly to herself.
The busy park in Dagenham town, Thompson and Sarah walks slowly on the grassy and stony path approaching a long dusty street bench.
"Darling, we can finally stroll out of the house without thinking of our problems" Sarah said sarcastically with a bright smile holding the hand of her husband strongly, he smirks in admiration.
"Yes. This is how we should live from now on" Thompson said confidently as they gradually sit on the street bench in the park.
"Honey" Sarah calls softly and Thompson faces her direction anxiously yearning for her statement.
"Since we are back on track, we should relocate to Rollan city again" Sarah pauses with a small beam.
"So as to reunite with our daughter and families" Sarah suggests politely in a tone of excitement.
"Damien!" July squeals happily in the hall way running over to Damien for a tight embrace but he stretches out his hand giving her a large brown envelope, she pauses skeptically at a spot sadly taking the large envelop slowly.
"Contract Termination" July reads the headline sadly and stares at Damien in great astonishment, he didn't make any move nor say any words.
