Chapter 6
Noella’s POV
Entering the mansion to see if I could be of any service to them, I noticed the Abels had arrived.
They were all seated on the long armchair, and immediately after I entered, they saw me and sneered in annoyance.
"Where have you been?" My aunt shouted angrily.
I shivered in shock; her tone was so loud and fearful.
"I went out to check the firewood," was the first lie I could come up with because the pressure I was getting from her sharp, angry eyes was too much.
"Firewoods?" Laura snorts.
"Were you at home during the day, I mean the afternoon period?" my uncle asked anxiously, and I shook my head.
No," and then I realized they were afraid of leaking out their secret. They were searching for the culprit who overheard Laura and Mr. Frank's conversation.
I remained sullen, like a coward.
"What are you still standing here for? Go make us something to eat," my aunty instructed curtly.
Sure." I nodded and turned to leave.
"Mum, why send her to cook? You know I need her help in preparing for my marriage," Sara reminded her mother sadly.
"Oh! How can I forget that?" my aunty said with a sigh.
"Come back here, you!" My aunty called me back, and as if controlled by a remote, I turned around, facing them.
"Sara's wedding is tomorrow; you need to start preparing the house and yard. It will be a big celebration of a lifetime," she chirped in happily, and I nodded.
"Get the classiest furniture and tableware, make sure everything is ready, and for her wedding dress," my aunty continued ranting while I struggled to concentrate on every word she was saying.
"Mum! Enough! Laura angrily shunned her mother.
"Am I not the senior here? I'm supposed to marry first, not her," Laura cried out sadly.
"Shut your mouth up, darling," my uncle said, echoing in the room with his hoarse, frantic voice.
"How dare you raise your voice at your mother?" he asked as if annoyed.
"Dad," Laura called out softly.
"It's your sister's wedding; you should be happy for her," my aunt said.
"At least we should eat first before wedding preparation takes over," Galvin said curtly.
Oh, sorry, my darling," she said, then my aunty turned to me.
"Go prepare something for us to eat; this discussion will continue tomorrow," she informed.
"Excuse me, maam," and I left them in the living room, heading to the kitchen.
I don't know what decision to make. Watching my enemies gain happiness is never a good thing for me to witness.
I feel hurt and annoyed to see them happy together. They killed my parents; they killed my family; why then should I forgive them?
A blood for a blood I won't let any of them go free.
I sighed sadly, unable to come up with any plan to ruin their happiness, and I proceeded to make supper for them.

The next morning, my aunt didn't let her words slide.
At exactly 3:00 AM, she woke me up to begin the preparation of her daughter's wedding while they enjoyed their morning sleep.
I was left with a few maids to arrange the yard and the rooms, and I also called in the other Omegas to assist in cooking and decorations.
The job was hectic, and I started having second thoughts about running away from all these troubles. Die or run away.
I see this as an insult, serving my nemesis.
Soon, Laura, dressed in a white gown and wearing a black hoodie on her head, approached me looking hideous.
Why is she acting suspicious?
I watched her in silence as she strolled towards me with her neck turning sideways and backward; she seemed scared.
"Noella!" For the first time, she called me by my name, but her tone hasn't changed one bit.
I left what I was doing and focused on her.
"Yes, Miss Laura," I said politely.
"I need you to do something for me," she whispered softly, bending her head closer to me.
"What is it?" I asked out of curiosity.
Her eyes bulged into mine angrily.
As soon as she told me what she had in mind, she left skeptically back to her room while I pondered in confusion.
What she wanted me to do was indeed risky. I didn't stop shaking my head.
I left the exterior for the minor slaves to do while I went into the mansion to see if everything was intact. The wedding ceremony will begin in less than eight hours. I need to make sure no errors occur, or else I will be dead meat.
My aunt will never go easy on me.
"Hey you! My sister needs your assistance." Galvin called me out immediately he saw me cleaning the round wall clock.
He was still in his night clothes, looking all handsome, like all good kids will look, but he is the complete opposite of "Good".
"I will be the—" I began, and he cut me off abruptly.
"No excuse; come now!" He shunned me curtly.
His new behavior caught me off guard, and I cowardly followed him to Sara's room.
I entered Sara's beautifully decorated room, filled with the most expensive furniture and appliances. Her room had a cool fragrance that intoxicated me little by little.
She was dressed in a sexy pink long sleeveless dress, and she stared at her wedding dress in silence.
"You are here," she said solemnly, and I nodded.
"Do you need my help?" I questioned.
"Laura said you are good at dressing brides; I want you to dress me for my wedding," she said softly.
For the first time since I have been serving the Abels, Sara sounded nice and calm. Does marriage make people go subtle?
I approached her slowly with a smile on my face, which expressed hatred in my heart.
Then Laura's words came to life in my mind.
"Just do it," my inner beast urged me insistently.
